Monday
Monday, July 31st, 2006Things are starting to crank up at SIGGRAPH today. The show floor was not open so we took in the Art Galleries and Emerging Technology exhibits. The coolest thing was some kind of magnetized liquid that could climb up inclines and make itself prickly. Eric Deren and Matt Lind met up with us for lunch. It was good to catch up and chat. In the afternoon was the Autodesk User Group which was excessively long. The work was really good that they showed. None of the tools blew me away. They had a group that made music with trash cans that was fun. After the Autodesk thing we wandered around and ended up at a Shabu Shabu Japanese restaraunt. It ended up being a experience even though we had no idea what we were doing. Tomorrow the show floor opens so it will be hectic.
