This is the recording of our October 20th CAVEMODE meeting.
We put on our second CAVEMODE(Charlotte Animation Visual Effects + Motion Design) meeting last night. The room was packed again and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Thom Blackburn gave an interesting talk on using the Red Camera in a low budget commercial. Brian Pace delivered a presentation on Organizing Your Workflow that sparked some good discussion on how to manage and streamline projects. I am very excited to see CAVEMODE taking off and I look forward to seeing it mature and grow. Charlotte has needed a community like this for a long time.
Charlotte Animation Visual Effects & Motion Design (CAVEMODE) is a local trade group for professionals and those looking to network in these areas. The purpose of CAVEMODE is to encourage collaboration of ideas and processes within the communities of Visual Effects, Motion Design, and Animation. And, to provide a forum to encourage networking and socializing within these fields.
CAVEMODE will hold informative and educational meetings quarterly. The meetings will feature elements such as project breakdowns, instructional material, guest speakers, and round table discussions. The goal of CAVEMODE is to tailor the content towards the working professional in this region. Students, hobbyists, and educators are encouraged to attend and participate as well.
Please visit http://www.cavemode.com for more information about the group and future meetings. The website will host a forum, news, and information about past and upcoming meetings. Please take a moment to sign up for the mailing list to receive information about the kickoff meeting and other communications.
Please help spread the word about CAVEMODE. Thanks.
